Hilltop City man gets eight months for vicious attack on three victims

DOVER - A Somersworth man was sentenced to at least eight months in Strafford County Jail for his assault on a man and two females during a violent confrontation in the Hilltop City last June.

Seth Rabideau, 21, of 121 Verona St., Apt. A, pleaded guilty in Strafford County Superior Court on Monday to one felony count of second degree assault and five Class A misdemeanor simple assaults for his attacks on the three victims in Somersworth on June 18.

According to court documents filed with his plea agreement, Rabideau admitted to punching and strangling the male victim, punching in the chest and spitting in the face of a female victim and punching another woman in the hip and face.

Rabideau was sentenced to one year in jail with four months suspended. He will be able to seek work release after serving six months.

After his release from jail he will be on probation for three years.

The five simple assaults drew one 12-month sentence, all suspended for two years from his date of release.

Rabideau must also comply with all treatment and education programs mandated by corrections officers and have no contact with the three victims.
