ROCHESTER - Howard Virgil Staples, Sr., died on Sunday, January 28, 2018 after a brief illness with his family around him at home. He was born December 16, 1929 to Clarence and Elsie (Moulton) Staples of Tuftonboro, N.H.
Survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn (Day) Staples of Rochester, son Chuck Staples and wife Lea of Farmington; stepdad to Al Poulin and wife Kathy of Middleton, and Alice Wilmot, of Maine. He is also survived by many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and not to mention brothers and sister in-laws from the Day Family of Dover.
Predeceased by his twin brother Roland Staples; his older brother Clarence Staples; his stepson Howard "Junior" Staples.
He was a member of the Mason's and Eastern Star organizations of N.H., and an Army veteran.
