FARMINGTON, N.H.- James Alexander "Jimmy" LaPrade, 33, of 27 Oakwood Road was taken from us on Wednesday, March 15, 2017, as a result of a homicide.
He was born June 7, 1983, in Worcester, Mass., the son of James R. LaPrade, Jr. and Alida Bermingham LeVier. He was a Marine Infantry Platoon Sergeant in the U.S. Marines, serving one tour of duty in Iraq and one in Afghanistan. Jimmy has worked as a power plant operator for Eversource in Newington and previously Sprague Energy.
He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed skiing, hiking Mt. Major, sailing and motorcycle riding. He especially loved his family and his dog "Koda."
Members of his family include his father, James R. and wife Cristal LaPrade, Bass Harbor, Maine; his mother, Alida and husband Clayton LeVier, Garland, Texas; sisters, Jeanette Petrosius and husband Darrell and their children Matthew, Alida, Makenzie and Sara, and Rachael LeVier; stepsister, Victoria Thorpe; paternal grandmother, Doris LaPrade, Gardner, Mass., maternal grandmother, Alida Bermingham, Dover, N.H.; many aunts, uncles, and cousins.
