ROCHESTER - James W. Phillips Jr., 78, of Rochester, died Saturday, February 17, 2018, at home with his loving family by his side.
Jim was born at the Plattsburgh Army Base, the son of James W Phillips and Frances (Buskey) Phillips. Jim attended Willsboro High School and joined the Air Force in 1956 and proudly served for 21 years. He was a Vietnam veteran. Later working at Portsmouth Naval Shipyard and UNH.
He married Candace (Cochrane) Phillips in 1978.
He was predeceased by his brother Robert Johnson in 2008.
Left to cherish his memories include his brother Larry Phillips; two sons Patrick Phillips and Ronald Phillips; two daughters Pamela Roussel, Rosemary Roussel and her husband Renald; eight grandchildren Charlene Woodruff, Christina Roussel, Bert Roussel, Rick Roussel, Danielle Roussel, Krystal Sheltry, April Phillips, and Brianna Donovan; 13 great-grandchildren; his niece Sandy Johnson Pratt and nephew Robert Johnson.
Jim loved fishing, riding to the beaches. Mostly he loved his family and spending time with them.
