ROCHESTER - Janet R. (Brown) Cox, 71, of Joshua Street, died on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at home in the arms of her husband and children after a long courageous battle with end-stage renal failure.
Janet was born on September 22, 1946 to the late Oscar James Brown and Violet (Lavoie) Brown, and is survived by her loving and devoted husband of 28 years Clifford Ellsworth Cox.
A lifelong resident of Rochester, Janet attended Spaulding High School and graduated from McIntosh College alongside her daughter in 1983. She loved her home, beautiful flowers and cherished every minute with her grandchildren. She enjoyed trips to Disneyworld, the mountains and just going anywhere the van took she and her husband. She was a member of the VFW Women's Auxiliary and the DAV Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter Linda Sue (Hogan) Runnals and husband Scott of New Durham; son James Michael Hogan and wife Amy of Rochester; granddaughter Jillian M. (Runnals) Williams and husband Jeffrey of New Durham; grandson Justin M. Hogan of Rochester; brother James E. Brown and wife Claudette of Hooksett; sister Arlene (Sue) Larochelle of Winter Haven, Fla.; sister-in-law Ethel Mae (Cox) Sakach; as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She is predeceased by her brother Wayne D. Brown and sister Carol (Brown) McFarlen.
