ROCHESTER - Joanne Raymond, 82, of Rochester,died with her family by her side Saturday, August 26, 2017, at the Hyder Family Hospice House in Dover. She was born in Haverhill on April 27, 1935, the daughter of the late Adelard and Blanche (Taylor) Raymond.
Joanne was educated in the Haverhill school system and attended Haverhill High School.
She was employed at Western Electric after high school, in the local shoe industry, and later at, AP&T Electronics and the former Hale Hospital from where she retired.
Joanne was a parishioner at the former St. Joseph's Parish and a current parishioner at All Saints Church in Haverhill. She enjoyed bingo, candlepin bowling, traveling and visiting casinos. She was a devoted mother and much enjoyed her role as matriarch.
She was predeceased by several brothers and sisters.
Ms. Raymond is survived by her daughter, Raven J. Wilcox of Rochester, a sister Dolly Pepin and her husband Ron of Rochester, a granddaughter, Nicole A. Raymond of Rochester, three great-grandchildren, Marcus Jones, Gabriel Bryant and Xera Raymond all of Rochester, as well as multiple nieces and nephews.
Joanne's family would like to extend a special thank you to all the staff at Riverside Rest Home and the Hyder Family Hospice Center both in Dover, for the exceptional care provided to Joanne during her time there.
