John "Jack" McCosker ... enjoyed riding his Harley

ROCHESTER - John "Jack" Francis McCosker, 68, died on Tuesday, Sept. 6, 2017, at home surrounded by loved ones. Jack was born Oct. 7, 1948 to John and Ursula McCosker of Braintree, Mass. He graduated from Braintree High School in 1966.
Jack served two tours in Vietnam in the Navy from 1967 to 1971. He received a Citation from the Commander of the Seventh Fleet for outstanding performance of duty while serving on the USS America as Aviation Ordnance Supervisor in combat. He also served on sea/air rescue missions off the carrier. He was a skilled carpenter and construction supervisor owning his own businesses throughout his career and was a licensed U.S. Merchant Marine Officer, known as "Captain Jack."
Jack was a very social man who cherished his many friends from childhood and throughout his adult life. He could often be found in his favorite spot sitting under the awning of his RV sharing stories and jokes. He enjoyed traveling in his RV and rides on his Harley with the Combat Vets. He was devoted to his family and shared a special bond with his siblings.
Jack is survived by his wife, Noreen, of 33 years; daughter, Kelley LaRue; son, Ryan McCosker; grandchildren Lukas, Owen, Piper and "little" Jack; his siblings, Michael McCosker, Colleen McCosker, Andrea Bergamo, April Caristi and nieces and nephews.
He is preceded by his mother and father; sister, Cathy LaBelle; and stepson, Nicholas Cosindas.
