LEBANON, Maine - Joyce E. Goff, 62, of Catfish Lane, died peacefully on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Maine Medical Center after a brief but courageous battle with cancer. Born April 10, 1956 in New Hampshire, she is the daughter of Herbert and Marion (Budd) LaPanne and is one of seven siblings.
Joyce grew up in Somersworth, N.H., and has lived in Lebanon for the past 15 years after moving from North Berwick. She was employed at Timberland Shoe for 31 years as an inventory control supervisor, where she earned the nickname "The Little General". She was a member of the Patriots Riders of America-Maine Chapter 1 where she enjoyed riding as a passenger on a Harley Davidson with her husband.
Joyce was crafty and creative having designed and sewn all her children Halloween costumes when they were young. She had a love of the kitchen which she shared with her grandchildren while cooking and baking family recipes. She was a hockey mom and loved her times with family and friends on Milton Three Ponds in Lebanon.
Joyce is survived by her husband of 44 years John Goff of Lebanon, her son Christopher Goff and his other half Melissa Brackett of Springvale; son JW Goff of Lebanon; grandchildren Aiden and his wife Cassandra Goff of Rochester, Harley and Reese Goff of Lebanon, Lauren, Alexis "Lexi" and Ryder Goff of Freeport; her mother Marion LaPanne; a special niece, Amie Leger of Alton Bay; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews.
Joyce was predeceased by her father Herbert "Papa" LaPanne.
