ROCHESTER - Karlee Pearl Drew, 10 years old, was granted her angel wings on Saturday, July 23, 2016, following a hard fought three year battle against AML/Myelofibrosis.
Karlee showed her family, friends and community bravery, courage, perseverance and love every day of her short yet very memorable life. Even though at times she looked frail, she possessed remarkable strength and overcame incredible odds.
Karlee and her family looked at everyday as an opportunity to create lasting memories. She was a gifted dancer, artist, softball player, Bieber's #1 fan, the reason for Karlee's Hometeam, and Karlee's Army and most of all an inspiration to us all.
She was loved by so many friends and family and will be remembered by her dear friend Alanna as a "young imaginative little girl who was not afraid to take risk. The love from her family helped her fight through this long restless battle. Karlee loved to stay outside with her friends and family and was a huge fighter and would never give up until she had succeeded. Karlee was a girl full of inspiration to us all, Karlee Drew rest in peace my sweet girl"
She is survived by her loving ,mother Pam Drew, her Gamma Pam Drew, uncles Jeremy and Marcus Drew, Aunt Amie, cousin Taylor (Tay) Drew, her special great aunt Fran, and many great aunts and uncles as well as Buck Buchanan and family and her soul mate and best bud Vaughn (Vonderosa) Austin and family. May we never forget her strength and courage!
