Kevin Leslie Hurd ... worked at GE; longtime firefighter

BERWICK, Maine - Kevin Leslie Hurd, 65, beloved husband, father and brother, died peacefully on Saturday, January 12, 2019, surrounded in love with his family by his side.
Kevin was born in Kittery on October 5, 1953, the son of Leslie L. and Patricia A. (Ross) Hurd. He grew up in Berwick with his five brothers and sisters. Kevin graduated from Noble High School with the Class of 1971.
Kevin joined the Berwick Fire Department as a volunteer at the age of 18. This would prove to be the training ground for a long and rewarding career in fire service. He was employed at General Electric in Somersworth, N.H., and became a volunteer fireman in 1987 with Rollinsford Fire Department, in New Hampshire; where he 'climbed the ranks' and became the Assistant Fire Chief; serving for 35 years.
He is lovingly survived by his best friend and wife, Michele Hurd; his two children, Tanya and Todd; his four siblings; many nieces, nephews, and great nephews; and his firefighter family.
