SOMERSWORTH - Two area teens have been arrested in the wanton destruction of some $15,000 worth of property during a BB-gun vandalism spree earlier this month in Somerworth, Dover and South Berwick, Maine.

Shane J Jacques, 18, of 899 Carl Broggi Highway, Lebanon, Maine, was charged with felony criminal mischief and misdemeanor theft by unauthorized taking, while Jared A Pucillo-Driscoll, 19, of 159 School St., Berwick, Maine, was charged with felony criminal liability for the conduct of another/accomplice to criminal mischief.

The incidents unfolded in the early morning hours of Sept. 6 through Sept. 7, during which Somersworth Police received reports of windows being shot out, to include vehicles and businesses. It was determined that the windows were shot out with a BB-gun type projectile.

The Somersworth Police Department documented some 28 different reports, involving 36 different pieces of property, of windows being shot out, within the City of Somersworth. It was determined that similar activity took place in Dover, Berwick, Maine, and South Berwick. A joint investigation was initiated with the Patrol and Investigation Divisions of all departments.

Both suspects were arrested on Wednesday, booked and released on personal recognizance bail.

The investigation revealed that both defendants were in a Cass Towing truck during these crimes, and that Pucillo-Driscoll was employed by the company at this time.

While the estimated damage is expected estimated more than $15,000.00, it could rise as quotes and invoices are still coming in, police said.

It is anticipated that further charges will be filed in the other jurisdictions of Dover, Berwick and South Berwick.
