Lebanon cleanup day vols will be treated to cookout, concert and more

LEBANON - Participants in Lebanon's annual cleanup day on Saturday will be treated to a free cookout and concert at Lebanon Town Offices when the work is done.

The day begins with a discussion on safe disposal of any found needles by Lebanon Fire and EMS at 8:30 a.m. after which bags and gloves will be passed out to volunteers who will be assigned specific roads to work.

The fun begins at noon back at Town Offices where lunch will be served, first for the road crews who will pick up the bags and then for all the other volunteers.

From 1-3 p.m. the Tri-Town Bookmobile will also be on hand as well as live music by local artist Ron Jones from 1-2 p.m. followed the next hour by Brian Saulnier (aka The Musical Medic) of Limerick.

Also Lebanon Fire and EMS will be on hand giving children tours of the town's emergency vehicles

Lebanon Boy Scout Troop #369 will also be running a Food Drive to benefit the Lebanon Food Pantry

The Lebanon Conservation Commission, York County Local Green Movement, York County Invasive Species Project and Three Ponds Protective Association will also be in attendance.
