ALFRED, Maine - A Lebanon man has been indicted in an aggravated-level domestic violence assault.

Douglas E. Stickney, 41, of 42 Cemetery Road is charged with felony aggravated assault with a weapon, domestic violence assault, criminal mischief and violation of bail.

According to court documents Stickney assaulted his female partner on Aug. 29.

Maine State Trooper Michael Lane said the weapon he used was a shoe.

If found guilty on the felony assault charge Stickney faces up to 10 years in state prison.

The York County grand jury indictments were handed down Nov. 3 and released on Monday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that a grand jury indictment has found sufficient evidence to warrant a trial.
