Lebanon man indicted in string of sex assaults on minor

Staff reports 11:38 a.m.

ALFRED, Maine - A Lebanon man has been indicted in the sexual assault of a minor.

Christopher Turner, 56, of 309 North Rochester Road, was formally charged with three counts of gross sex assault of a minor under the age of 12. The assaults allegedly occurred from June to August of 2016.

The incidents all are said to have occurred in Lebanon.

The Maine State Police detective handling the case was not immediately available for any comment.

The York County grand jury indictments were handed down on Sept. 6 and released today.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been gathered to warrant a trial.
