LEBANON - Lebanon selectmen voted on Thursday to approve a tax rate of $15.24 making it the third year in a row that the mil rate has remain unchanged.

The tax rate has remain virtually unchanged for almost four years now, the last major increase coming in 2013 when it rose some 7 percent to $13.58.

Then-selectmen chair Karen Gerrish blamed the increase on a drop in revenue sharing from the state.

The $15.24 rate means that the owner of an average home in Lebanon assessed at $150,000 would pay $2,286 in property tax.
