LIMERICK, Maine - Some women in Limerick slept more soundly Sunday night after the apprehension of a local teenage boy who had a penchant for peeking in their windows and stealing their underwear.

On Sept. 30, three houses were burglarized and the intruder stole women's undergarments, but there were few leads to follow until Saturday.

That's when a Limerick woman reported seeing somebody "peeping" in her windows and summoned the police.

Responding YCSO deputies located the peeper, a teenage neighborhood boy. During their interview, the boy admitted to "looking in" the house and later admitted to breaking into several homes and stealing underwear, according to a press release from York County Sheriff Bill King.

The suspect then led deputies to hiding spots in a wooded area where almost 70 pieces of undergarments were recovered, most of which were identified by the victims.

The boy was summoned for three counts of burglary, and will appear in juvenile court in December.

Juvenile authorities have all been contacted.

Officials did not disclose the exact age of the teenager.
