Local authors look to showcase the write stuff

ROCHESTER - The 4th annual Greater Rochester Authors' Fair is set for April 30 from 10:15 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. in the Community Room at the Rochester Public Library.

The event celebrates the local literary talent of published authors in three offerings: 10:30 a.m., Children, Family and Young Adult; noon, Nonfiction; and at 1:30 p.m., fiction.

Each panel of authors will speak on the creative process, read a section of their book and be available for a short question and answer period. Between the sessions, authors will be on hand to sell and autograph their works.

Participating authors will include: Children-Family-Young Adult: Carole Albert, Sara Cook, Martha Driscoll, Shelby June and Anthony Tuck; nonfiction, Skip Biron, Michael Bisceglia, Sue Young Quinlan, and Virginie Ragenaud; and fiction. Mary and Tim Barretto, Gregory Bastianelli, Barbara Davis, Renne P. Parent, and J. E. Seymour.

Opening remarks will be made by Rochester Mayor Caroline McCarley at 10:15 a.m. There is no charge to attend the event. Free parking is available at the Library Parking Lot. Studley's Flower Gardens and Rochester Chamber of Commerce helped produce the event, and Sandra Sawyer provided graphic design.
