Longtime fixture on town boards abruptly resigned last month

MILTON - A fixture in town government stepped down abruptly last month after serving on a multitude of boards and as water commissioner for a decade.

Stan Nadeau had recently been on the Zoning Board and Budget Committee. He had been on the water commission since 2012.

Nadeau began his career in town government in 2008 when he served on the budget committee.

He then served as selectman from 2009-2012.

From 2014 till last month he served on the Zoning Board of Appeals.

Nadeau said recently he chose not to comment on why he abruptly resigned from the Zoning Board, as the water commission rep on the budget committee and as water commissioner.
