ROCHESTER - Lorraine Turgeon, 84, died Friday, August 11, 2017, surrounded by loved ones, after a long battle with cancer. Lorraine was born in Rochester, June 3, 1933, the daughter of Alcide and Georgianna (Bilodeau) Begin.
She was educated in Rochester schools. She was employed at GE as an inspector and held other clerical jobs in the local area.
She loved her family and friends, dancing and singing, her IPad, decorating, shuffleboard, caring for her home and husband, and many crafts.
Survivors include her friend and husband Edmond Turgeon whom she shared 23 years with. She leaves behind two sons, Mark Rainville of Madison, Tenn., Alan Rainville and wife Robin Rainville of Berwick, Maine, three daughters, Doreen Rainville and husband Gary Bellmare of Rochester, Jean Rainville of Portsmouth, and Gail Johnson and husband Peter of Newington, and daughter-in-law Brenda Rainville, a step-son Larry Turgeon and wife Dawn, step-daughters Luanne Ryan and husband Patrick, and Marsha Merrill and husband David. Lorraine has numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and one great-great-granddaughter, a loving sister Stella Marcotte, and brother Roland Begin, both of Rochester and a former husband Elmo Rainville of 21 years.
Lorraine was predeceased by her parents and a grandson Robin Rainville.
