M. Lucille Short ... enjoyed baking, riding her moped

BERWICK, Maine - M. Lucille Short, 90, a resident of Berwick, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the Greenwood Center in Sanford following a period of failing health.
Lucille, as she was known to all who loved her, was born January 2, 1928 in Rochester, N.H., the daughter of John and Ardelle Litchfield Fall, and attended Berwick schools.
Employed as a machine operator, she was employed by Clarastart and Janco, both in Somersworth, and also at Margowanda Nursing home in Berwick. Lucille was known by many children in the area as Meme, the name they called her when she baby sat for them.
She was remembered by her family as an incredible baker, and if there weren't fresh cookies at hand, she would take a bag she had at the ready out of the freezer for her grandchildren's enjoyment, and always had pets around her, and loved all her cats and dogs.
Lucille could be seen riding her moped around on country roads with her mother, enjoying a ride on a warm day.
Lucille is predeceased by her husband Edward H. Short, her daughter, Linda Hassen, and four grandchildren, Janet, Rhonda, Brandon and Ryan.
Survivors include her son Edward Mark Short of Derry, N.H.; three daughters Carol Soucy and her husband David, Sandra Wilson and her husband Norman all of Lebanon, and Deborah Gough of Somersworth; 22 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
