ALFRED, Maine - A Lebanon man has been indicted on assault charges in a domestic violence incident from December.

Michael McCrillis, 30, of 387 West Lebanon Road, stands charged with aggravated assault/indifference to life and domestic violence assault in connection with the alleged Dec. 23 assault.

The most serious charge, aggravated assault, is a Class B felony punishable by up to 10 years in state prison plus a fine of $20,000.

The York County grand jury indictments were handed down on Tuesday and released on Wednesday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, only that enough evidence has been presented to move forward to a trial.
