DOVER - The Maine man arrested on fentanyl possession charges during an August incident in Rochester has been indicted.

Andrew Withum Bruyere, 33, of 10 Second St., Lebanon, Maine, faces up to seven years in a New Hampshire State Prison and a $25,000 fine if convicted.

Bruyere was initially stopped on Aug. 25 by Community Engagement Officer Kyle Danie, who while on downtown bike patrol saw him emerge with a female from an area of known drug activity between Wyandotte Falls and Water Street.

During a custody search Danie found a plastic baggie with a brownish substance consistent with heroin, several syringes, a spoon and Q-tips, according to a police affidavit.

During the booking process Bruyere was found to have a bench warrant out of Rochester District Court and a capias out of Strafford County Superior Court. He was also currently out on bail from a separate Rochester arrest back on June 27.

This month's Strafford County indictments were handed down Nov. 15 and released on Monday.

An indictment is not an indication of guilt, rather than enough evidence has been presented to a grand jury to warrant a trial
