SOMERSWORTH - Authorities are expected to conduct an autopsy today to determine the cause of death of a man found floating in the Salmon Falls River on Saturday.
The man's body was recovered after Somersworth safety officials were notified around 2:15 p.m. of a man's body floating in the water near the Somersworth-Berwick Bridge.
According to a press release, "Officers responded to the area of Salmon Falls River by the dam off Market Street. There they found a body floating face down in the river."
The body was that of a white male.
There was no immediate comment from police on whether foul play may have been involved.
