Marion Flanagan, 81, of Chattanooga, Tenn., died Saturday, June 6, 2015.

She was born Nov. 17, 1934, to the late Ethel Bosquin Downs and Arthur F. Downs, both of Rochester. She lived in Rochester until she was 18.

Marion and Mike Lapihuska (her husband of 35 years) raised their five children in the Philadelphia area. Three adult children predeceased Marion.

Marion married Jack Flanagan of Indianapolis in 1987. They made their home in Naples, Florida. They returned to Indianapolis one year before Jack passed in 2010.

Marion was a content, humble, grateful, fun loving, lover of kids and animals. She was also known for her ready smile, gentle laugh and was always eager for a friendly game of Scrabble or cards with her plentiful grandchildren.

Marion is survived by her sister, Louise Hersom (Everett), children, Michael Lapihuska (Dee), Andrew Lapihuska (Narin); step-children, John Flanagan (Kate), Theresa Taylor (Phil); and 18 grandchildren.
