Market Basket strike docudrama opens Friday in Epping

EPPING, N.H. - O'neil Cinemas of Brickyard Square shopping center on Route 125 in Epping will show the Market Basket strike inspired "We The People: The Market Basket Effect" beginning on Friday.

The movie depicts the events leading up to the strike of 25,000 Market Basket workers and 2 million customers who joined the effort to reinstate the beloved CEO Arthur T. Demoulas, known as Artie T.

The film is narrated by actor Lowell, Mass., native Michael Chiklis (The Shield, Gotham, Sons of Anarchy). Lowell, by the way, is where Market Basket, then DeMoulas, opened its first store.

The film is currently in limited release. The film is set run at least from Friday through next Thursday.

Market Basket employees get a $1 off their ticket if they show proof of employment.
