MILTON - Maxine A. (Ouellette) Brownell, 68, of Milton, died on Monday, September 26, 2016, at home surrounded by her loving family after a long and courageous battle with cancer. She was born September 22, 1948, in Dover, the daughter of Rene J. and Mary Ellen (Theberge) Ouellette.
Maxine was a graduate of Dover High School, Class of 1966, receiving her cosmetology license. She worked 33 years at Davidson Rubber/Textron Automotive. After retiring, she followed her dream by volunteering and working for several years for the Diocese of Manchester at Our Lady of the Holy Rosary Church in Rochester, N.H. Maxine was a communicant of Holy Rosary Church and had a deep faith and love of her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Members of her family include her husband of 38 years, Lawrence "Buster" R. Brownell, Sr.; children, Debra A. Brownell of Rochester, N.H.; Lawrence "Skip" R. Brownell, Jr., and wife Judy of Strafford, N.H., Paul W. Boulanger, Jr., and fiancée Kathy of North Andover, Mass., and Rebecca R. Brownell-Smith and husband Troy of Middleton, N.H.; grandchildren, Larry, Jessa, Heath, James, Jeremy, Alex, Emily, Jake, Kaleigh, Xavier, and Savannah; 13 great-grandchildren; best friend Susan Poulson of Westmoreland, Tenn.; and sister, Constance R. Ouellette of Belfast, Maine. Maxine is predeceased by her parents and son, James H. Brownell, Sr.
Maxine enjoyed spending her time at home on Northeast Pond and cooking for her large family and friends. She set a shining example for anyone who knew her and strangers, alike through her kindness and generosity.
