MILTON - Milton Boy Scout Troop #155 celebrated its fifth Eagle Scout in just over a year on Sunday during a Court of Honor for David Barca Jr. at the American Legion Hall on Steeple Street.

Barca, whose Eagle project was building a dugout for the girls softball field behind Milton Elementary School, was presented with a plaque to place in the dugout to memorialize his achievement.

The Court of Honor Invocation and Benediction was given by the Rev. Maureen Steer, whose son, Stephen, led the Eagle Charge.

A special award was also presented to Fred Cameron of Milton by the Barca family for his help with many youth projects in town.

Legion Commander Dana Wilson and Army and Air National Guardsman Scott Taatjes presented awards as well as joining all attending Eagle Scouts while they participated in the Eagle Charge - reaffirming their Scout oath - as David Barca was sworn in.

Mary Dawley, the District Unit commissioner, was there as well.
