MILTON - Milton Fire officials say a house was damaged and a man injured in an explosion Saturday morning.

The incident occurred around 7:50 a.m. when Milton Fire and Rescue responded to 241 Northeast Pond Road for a reported mobile home explosion with injuries.

When responders arrived they found smoke but no active fire and one patient with minor injuries.

The patient was the sole occupant of the building at the time. They were transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital for treatment.

An investigation determined the cause of the explosion to be a propane leak from a hole in the copper gas line under the home.

The home suffered moderate damage, officials said.
