MILTON - A benefit to help a local family who lost their house to fire earlier this fall raised more than $1,200 at a Milton Moose fund-raiser on Sunday.

Final figures show that a meat bingo, raffles and other fund-raising games held at the Milton fraternal organization raised $1,259 for the Cate family, while a separate benefit at Moe's Sub Shop of Rochester where one of the family works raised some $1,300.

The Cate Family Benefit in support of Heidi, Stephanie, Natalie and Cameron Cate included a meat bingo, 50/50 raffle, silent auction, door prizes and gift baskets.
