Milton School District funding articles all pass easily

MILTON - Four Milton residents won school board seats in Tuesday voting.

Doug Shute and Paul Steer each won three-year terms with 462 and 450 votes, respectively.

Winning one-year seats were Melissa Brown with 334 votes and Laura Noseworthy with 289.

The only other contested race was for treasurer, which was won handily by Mackenzie Campbell with 420 votes over Pamela Arnold and her 218 votes.

Meanwhile Milton's School District operating budget of $10.3 million was easily approved, 501-182.

Several secondary funding warrant articles, including to maintain building, buses and technology also easily passed.
