Milton woman escapes serious injury in early morning crash

ROCHESTER - A Milton woman escaped serious injury early today when police say she apparently fell asleep at the wheel while driving on South Main Street and crashed.

The accident occurred around 12:25 a.m. in the area of 124 South Main when police say Amanda Cloutier, 28, fell asleep while driving a 2006 Toyota Highlander.

Cloutier was evaluated on scene by Frisbie Memorial Hospital EMS.

The Toyota sustained substantial front end damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Electrical crews were expected to be on scene for several hours repairing an electrical supply box that was struck. There was a reported power interruption in the area following the collision.
