GILFORD, N.H. - The boater missing off of Governor's Island since Saturday and presumed lost has been identified as a Massachusetts man.

The victim is identified as Domenic Tringale, 63 of Chelmsford.

Officials say they are continuing the search today but in recovery mode.

On Saturday around 9:30 a.m. New Hampshire State Police and the state's Marine Patrol answered a call for a power boat circling in the area of the Governor's Island Beach on Lake Winnipesaukee in the town of Gilford. It was also reported a dog was aboard.

Officials found the vessel, but no one but the dog onboard. After the 17-foot boat stopped the dog was safely transported to shore, and a search for an adult male began.

Since then surface searches as well as dive teams have turned up no sign of Tringale.
