ROCHESTER - The mother of slain New Hampshire journalist Jim Foley will be on hand at a Rochester ceremony Monday to accept a Paul Harris Fellow award on behalf of her son.
City resident Diane Foley will give a presentation and accept the award at the Governor's Inn at 1:15 p.m.
on behalf of her son, who died at the hands of ISIS in 2014.
Meanwhile, a special screening of "Jim: The James Foley Story," a documentary dedicated to telling the story of Jim Foley, will be shown March 11 from 7-9 p.m. at the Rochester Opera House.
The award-winning documentary examines the life, death and legacy of the freelance journalist.
The film had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in January, winning the Audience Award for U.S. Documentary. It debuted on HBO as part of its HBO Documentary Films series series last month.
