Monarch School continues prep for 1st-ever bike run

The Monarch School of New England has announced its first Motorcycle Benefit Ride, which will be held on July 14.

The ride will leave from the Monarch School of New England Regional High School & Vocational Center, at 13 Monarch Way, Rochester. The ride will travel through the foothills of the White Mountains and Lakes Region, and end at the Harley-Davidson Shop of Rochester for a cookout and celebration.

As a non-profit, specialized school for students with significant developmental, emotional, behavioral, physical and medical disabilities, the school relies on community events to provide the innovative programming its students require to learn and succeed. The Motorcycle Ride will directly benefit the Vocational/Work-Based Learning Program, which prepares our students with special needs for meaningful, productive employment upon graduation.

Registration can be completed online, at: www.monarchschoolne.org/events/motorcycle-ride-2018/ or on-site the day of the event. Registration will begin at 8 a.m., kickstands go up at 9 a.m. The cost to participate is $15 for a single rider and bike, $20 for a bike with a passenger. The registration cost includes breakfast, lunch and an event T-shirt.

This event would not be possible without the generous support of community business partners. Many thanks to the following businesses for their sponsorship: AD Archambault Heating & Plumbing, Busters Billiards, Dunkin' Donuts of Rochester, Eastern Bank, Harley-Davidson Shop of Rochester, Hervey's Tire, Market Basket, Piscataqua Savings Bank, Seacoast Coca-Cola, Seacoast Redicare, and T&T Promotions.
