Months-long probe results in pair's arrest in heroin trafficking

ROCHESTER - Two Rochester residents were arrested on Tuesday after police say they stopped their vehicle on Route 125 in Rochester and found about 50 grams of heroin in their possession.

Heidi Copp, 36, and Keith Stevens, 33, both of 5 Lois St, were scheduled to be arraigned today after they were each held on $10,000 cash bail following their arrests.

Copp was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute, while Stevens was charged with criminal liability for conduct of another.

Both were being held at Strafford County Jail pending bail hearings.

The arrests were the result of several months of investigation by the Strafford County Drug Task Force.

Police say more charges are expected.

The arrests were a joint effort of the Strafford County Drug Task Force, Rochester Police, and DEA High Intensity Drug Trafficking Agents.
