MILTON - The Milton Moose Lodge No. 1298 recently purchased the property it had rented for about 10 years.

Lodge governor David Barca confirmed on Thursday the sale was finalized earlier this month after an online auction of the bank-owned property.

The lodge is also the home of Women of the Moose Chapter 2336.

The building was most notably the former home of the well-known Spinale's restaurant before it was sold. It then became home to several different restaurants which all closed within a year or two before the Moose began renting it.

The Milton Moose, part of a nationwide benevolent fraternal organization, is currently reaching out to potential new members with a series of nighttime events including the acoustic duo of country band Texas Pete on Saturday.

They will be playing from 7-10 p.m. in the club's social quarters.

Jerry and Brian appeared earlier this month at the Moose and entertained a packed house playing a mix of country, pop and crossover hits.

There is no cover charge for this event, however attendees must be 21 years old or over.
