STRAFFORD, N.H. - Nathan Robert McLellan died on Friday, May 19, 2017, in North Carolina. He was taken early and abruptly at the age of 32.
Born and raised in Strafford, N.H., here he made bonds incomparable to average friendships. A small town coming-of-age setting that transcended the typical adolescent experience with few able to relate to the intimate camaraderie shared by them. A crew interwoven with counterculture and fraternal love that embraced each other's differences and rallied together to support one another during difficult times. In the wake of this difficult news, it will be evident that distance and time have no effect on deep rooted relationships of the past.
Nate always knew how to put a smile on your face with a corny joke or sarcastic impression even as he weathered his own internal struggle; coy with his emotions at times, but always a teasing jab away from a reluctant closed mouth smirk. He was renowned for being strong as an ox and stubborn as a mule, always doing things his way and staying true to himself.
Nate was deeply loved by his family and friends who saw him as one of the kindest, gentlest souls the world has ever known. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Nathan was predeceased by his mother, Susan McLellan, and is survived by his father, Robert McLellan with partner Lissa D'Anjou, and brother, Jared McLellan, as well as extended family and a network of friends he loved like family.
