MILTON MILLS - As part of Milton's Winter Carnival on Saturday, Feb. 17, the public libraries of Milton and Milton Mills will be presenting "Anne Jennison - Native American Storytelling to Warm You During the Heart of the Winter Storytelling Season.". This 50-minute performance will be held at the Emma Ramsey Center/Milton Town Hall, 30 Charles Street, Milton, NH at 1:30 pm.

After the storytelling, the audience can participate in constructing corn husk dolls and Indian corn necklaces. Jennison is a New Hampshire-based storyteller of European and Abenaki heritage, who specializes in the stories and traditions of the Northeast Woodlands. Her storytelling is interwoven with song, drumming, and humor. Jennison holds a master's in both storytelling and history and has 30 years of storytelling performances throughout New England.
In addition, through a generous benefactor, the Milton Free Public Library, Nute High School & Library, and the Milton Elementary School library will be purchasing many Native American books to introduce our community to First Peoples legends and history. These books are paid for in memory of June Barbi Brogan. Please call Nute High School & Library at (603) 652-7829 or Milton Free Public Library at (603) 473-8535 for more information.
