LEBANON - In one of their first acts as a new board, Lebanon selectmen on Thursday reversed the earlier board's decision and appointed Roads Supervisor Tom Torno as Road Commissioner.

The vote was 2-1, with newly elected Selectman Paul Nadeau and Royce Heath voting in favor and Selectmen Chairman Ben Thompson opposed.

The former board had wanted to wait until the end of the three-year term belonging to the late road commission Larry Torno had expired next June to elect a new one.

Thompson had no comment on the reversal on Friday.
