The Greater Rochester Chamber of Commerce will now provide three prestigious business awards that will be announced and presented at the Chamber's Annual Dinner & Awards Banquet.

They will include a Business of the Year, a Nonprofit of the Year and a Citizen of the Year.

The Business of the Year award recognizes a Chamber member business in good standing that has demonstrated excellence in their business and has made substantial contributions to its industry and the Rochester area.

Business of the Year Award Qualifications

1. Business in an active company.
2. Demonstrates excellence in the business community and

industry.

3. Participates in and provides support to the general benefit of the

Chamber of Commerce, business community and greater

Rochester area.

4. Contributes to the community, beyond business interests and

Chamber of Commerce activities will be considered.

5 .Business is member in good standing of the Greater Rochester

Chamber of Commerce.

6. Services need not be confined to a single year, but should be

have current significance.

7. Officers and Directors of the Greater Rochester Chamber of

Commerce are not eligible.

8. Prior winners are ineligible.
9. This award will not be given posthumously.

The Non-Profit of the Year award recognizes an organization that has made a sustainable impact in the Rochester community.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR NON-PROFIT OF THE YEAR

1. Nonprofit in an active organization.
2. Demonstrates excellence in the community and in organization.
3. Has provided a significant impact to benefit of the Rochester

community.

4. Organization is a member in good standing of Greater Rochester

Chamber of Commerce.

5. Services need not be confined to a single year, but should be

recent enough to have current significance.

6. Officers and Directors of the Greater Rochester Chamber of

Commerce are not eligible.

7. Prior winners are ineligible.
8. This award will not be given posthumously.

The Citizen of the Year Award is presented to an adult resident of the Greater Rochester area who has made substantial contributions to the community as a whole. Activities should be over and above the normal duties of one's paid position and need not be confined to a single year. Activities do need to be recent enough to have current significance. Lifetime achievement may be considered as a separate award.

Qualifications for Citizen of the Year

1. Adult resident of the Rochester/Northern Strafford County Region.
2. Contributed to the general benefit of the community as a whole.
3. Demonstrates excellence in the community, for instance in civic

affairs, PTA, etc.

4. Some activities performed should be over and above the normal

duties of one's paid or salaried position; activities performed in

the course of one's normal duties are also considered.

5. Services need not be confined to only current activities, but

should be recent enough to have current significance.

6. Lifetime achievement may be considered as a separate award.
7. Prior winners are ineligible.
