ROCHESTER - Blues artists Poor Howard and Bullfrog will be featured at this Friday's Music On The Square concert in downtown Rochester.

The Music On The Square Concerts are held on Fridays from 11:45 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. through Aug. 26. Concertgoers are asked to "bring a chair and buy or bring a lunch" to enjoy a musical performance in the heart of downtown Rochester.

Poor Howard Stith on 12-string and bottleneck guitar and Mike " Bullfrog" Rogers on harmonica offer up authentic acoustic blues in the tradition of Leadbelly, Robert Johnson, Charlie Patton and other masters of the pre-World War II era. Their music careers stretch back over 40 years and Howard and Bullfrog are playing the blues with all the passion and flair of two old troubadours.
In case of inclement weather the concerts are canceled at 10 a.m. Free parking nearby is available at the North Main , Union, and Congress Street Parking lots.

The concerts are underwritten by Federal Savings Bank and a grant from the NH State Council On The Arts/National Endowment For The Arts.

For more information please contact the Rochester Main Street office by calling 603-330-3208 or email director@rochestermainstreet.org. Appearing on Friday, August 26 will be The Fiddling Thomsons. There will be a season ending Ice Cream social from 11;00 am until 11:45 preceding the concert for a $3.50 donation. Don't forget our Wildlife Encounter at noon on Thursday in Central Square. There will be activities and games for all.
