Ongoing food drive for schoolkids seeking donations

NORTH BERWICK, Maine - The Mary Hurd Academy staff and students are delivering over 125 food back packs each week to your schools. It costs approximately $500 each week to put those back packs together which averages out to $4 per backpack.

There is a collection box in the entryway of Town Offices for donations.

We are happily accepting kid friendly, low sugar foods (ie. easy open tops, plastic jars, instant mixes). We always can use:

Peanut Butter

Crackers

Soups/Stews

Cereal (small boxes or bowls)

Fruit Cups (peaches, applesauce, etc.)

Vegetable Cups (corn, green beans, etc.)

Snack Mixes

Raisins (snack size boxes)

Pudding Cups

Juice Boxes (100% juice - apple, orange or other)

Milk (white and chocolate) that does not require refrigeration

Sunflower/Pumpkin Seeds

Cereal/Granola Bars

Pasta/can sauce

Pancake Mix

Maple Syrups (small bottles)

Oatmeal

Mac and Cheese
