CONCORD - Registration is now under way for an exciting weekend of camping at New Hampshire's Pawtuckaway State Park with the Becoming an Outdoors-Woman (BOW) program. The course takes place Saturday, June 23, through Sunday, June 24.

The cost for the workshop is $75 which includes instruction, overnight camping, some equipment, dinner, breakfast, and snacks. Participants should bring their own lunch for Saturday. We'll let you know what else to bring once you're registered.

Participants must register online at www.nhbow.com. Registration is first-come, first-served and space is limited. All participants must be age 18 or older.

During this two-day adventure, campers will join BOW instructors for an extended basic camping how-to course which includes how to choose a campsite, camp and tarp set-up, outdoor cooking, fire starting, staying functional and dry in any weather, building fires, tying knots, and useful gear. Spend the afternoon around campfires and stoves to learn the culinary art of cooking outdoors.

You'll be camping at beautiful Pawtuckaway State Park in Nottingham. The campground has a variety of activities and there's something for everyone. Learn more about the park at www.nhstateparks.org/visit/state-parks/Pawtuckaway-State-Park.aspx.

New Hampshire Becoming an Outdoors-Woman programs are co-sponsored by the New Hampshire Fish and Game Department and the New Hampshire Wildlife Federation.
