ROCHESTER - Philip A. Gould, of Old Dover Road, died Thursday, August 10, 2017 at the Colonial Hill Center after a battle with cancer. Born August 16, 1939 in Portland, Maine, he is the son of the late George and Wynona (Strout) Gould.
After serving in the Navy, Philip spent most of his life in Rochester. He worked as a projectionist at the VIP Theatre in Somersworth and the surrounding areas. He was an active member of the Emmanuel Advent Christian Church in Rochester, where he served as deacon and participated in the choir. He attended many other area church activities as well. He was a very active servant of the Lord. He earned a bachelor's of science degree, played golf, enjoyed photography, and was a member of the DAV.
Members of his family include his wife Patricia; his sons Timothy and Eric Gould and his wife Judith; his daughter Kimberly Gunter; his grandchildren James Gould and Matthew Laduke. He also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and other family members and dear friends. He is predeceased by his brother Robert Gould.
