LEBANON - Philip F. Carpenter, 90, died Tuesday, August 11, 2015, at Colonial Hill Nursing Home with family by his side, following a period of failing health.
Born March 7, 1925, in Lebanon, he was the son of the late Aubrey and Pluma (Tibbetts) Carpenter.
Mr. Carpenter had worked as a wood finisher at Thompson Center Arms for many years, retiring in 1987.
In his spare time he loved fishing on Lake Winnipesaukee with his family and friends, as well as working around the yard. He enjoyed spending Saturday evenings at Wells Beach with his late wife Betty. And he could tell good fishing stories.
Members of his family include his son Brian Carpenter and wife Robin of Farmington, N.H.; daughters Karen Carpenter of East Rochester, N.H.; and Sylvia Deeds and husband David of Lebanon; his sister Lillian Seacord of Rochester, N.H., and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife Betty (Hoage) Carpenter and a daughter Gina Pantella.
