Police on hunt for man who robbed George & Ed's at gunpoint

ROCHESTER - Police are on the lookout for a man who robbed George & Ed's General Store at gunpoint on Wednesday.

Police say the robbery occurred around 5:55 p.m. when a man entered the store, brandished what appeared to be a semi-automatic pistol at the clerk and took an undisclosed amount of money from the cash drawer before fleeing the scene.

The man was seen arriving and leaving in a small dark colored SUV/crossover style vehicle, which parked on an adjacent street.

The suspect is described as about 5'10 to 6' tall and was wearing a Mossy Oak camouflage jacket and dark colored hat.

The store was closed for about two hours while detectives processed the scene.

The Rochester Police are asking anyone who may have information about this incident to call the Rochester Police Department at 330-7128.
