ROCHESTER - Police are looking for what they think is a black Nissan Murano that demolished a speed data collection trailer earlier this month.

The trailer was struck sometime between 9 p.m. on July 1 and 3:30 a.m. on July 2 when police responded to Tebbetts Road for a report of the crash.

The reporting officer arrived to find that the trailer had been struck by a vehicle travelling northbound from Pickering Road to Old Dover Road causing the trailer to flip. It received extensive damage and had to be towed from the scene.

Officers say the Nissan will likely have damage to the passenger side front end to include headlamp damage and damage to the fog light area. If anyone has any information about this case they are asked to contact Sgt. Marc Cilley of the Rochester Police Department.

Tipsters can also provide information and remain anonymous by calling the Rochester Crime Line at 335-6500 or Text to: CRIMES (274637) Body of Text: TEXT4CASH + your tip. Cash rewards are offered for information that leads to an arrest.
