Police probe Dover couple's untimely death; autopsies scheduled later today

DOVER - Dover Police continue today to probe the deaths of a local couple who were found dead inside their Palmer Drive home early on Monday.

Officers responding to the residence after a 911 call found Meghan Thomas, 36, and Daniel Barnes, 40, deceased. The deaths have been termed "untimely; Thomas and Barnes were the only residents of the home.

Chief Medical Examiner Jennie V. Duval has scheduled autopsies on both of them for today, but no timetable for the release of details regarding the cause of deaths has been announced.

No further information is expected until those autopsies are completed. Police say there is no known risk to the general public stemming from the incident.
