Police: Rochester man received multiple stab wounds in apartment building attack

ROCHESTER - Police say a Rochester was the victim of a stabbing early today in the city's downtown.

Rochester Police first responded to a reported stabbing in a common hallway of an apartment building at 17½ Bridge St. and found a victim who had been stabbed "approximately" seven times.

The 24-year-old victim does not reside at the address.

The suspect fled on foot. He is described as a white male, 5'4" tall and wearing a blue hoodie with white lettering on the back.

A state trooper responded with a K-9 unit for a track, but the suspect was not located.

The victim was transported to Frisbie Memorial Hospital via Frisbie EMS with what were described as non-life threatening injuries.

This case remains an active investigation. Rochester Police are asking anyone who may have information that could assist with this investigation, to call the Rochester Police Department at 603-330-7128.
