Police say Somersworth woman arrested after stabbing male victim multiple times

SOMERSWORTH - A Somersworth woman was arrested today in the stabbing of a male victim at a Main Street residence.

Police and EMS responded to 362 Main St. around 9 a.m. for a reported disturbance and found a man who had been stabbed multiple times inside Apt. 7, according to a press release from Somersworth Police.

The man was transported to Wentworth Douglass Hospital for multiple stab wounds.

As a result of the investigation police arrested Renee A. Shaw, 56, of 362 Main Street, Apt. #7.

Shaw was charged with first-degree assault. She refused bail and will be held at the Strafford County House of Corrections pending her arraignment in Strafford County Superior Court on Wednesday.
